History
Founded in 1926
Textile is a collective name for all products produced by knitting, weaving or pressing various natural, artificial or synthetic fibers.
Textile production is a craft from the deepest antiquity, with the processing of natural fibers initially being done by hand.
The development was strongly influenced by the industrial revolution at the end of the 18th and 19th centuries.
In 1926, the brothers Stefan and Dobri Stanevi opened a steam chemical dyeing workshop in old mill buildings, on the eastern edge of the city of Stara Zagora. The activity consisted of collecting homemade fabrics and yarns from neighboring villages and dyeing them. In the 1930s, the dyeing house began to supply cotton yarns from large textile factories in Bulgaria and to trade the production outside Bulgaria.
In 1947, the workshop was transformed into a knitting factory for the production of cotton knitted underwear. Over the next 50 years, the Natalia plant increased its production capacity almost 120 times. The plant has been repeatedly awarded for high labor and production achievements. Among the awards are the People's Order of Labor "People's Republic of Bulgaria - 1st degree"
Since 1997, Natalia AD has been part of the structure of "Holding Zagora". In its nearly 100-year history, the company has successfully combined traditions and innovations.
